Steam press operator — Richmond County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a steam press operator in Richmond County, North Carolina. You will work at a textile finishing unit. Ideal candidate: • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings The role involves: • Give each garment a final press before packing • Sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number • Press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics • Remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron • Spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts Six days a week, one day off.
