Fabricator-welder — McLean County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in McLean County, Illinois. You will work at a steel fabrication workshop. Requirements: • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently • Able to pass a 3G/4G plate test • Steady hand and good eyesight for tight tolerances On the job you will handle: • Maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose • Tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing • Load ER70S-6 wire spools and check the drive rolls • Check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration • Clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead We offer $27 per hour plus benefits. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Six days a week, one day off. Contact us to fix an interview.
