Immediate opening: we are hiring an argon welder in McCone County, Montana. Day to day you will read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing; clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush; keep the arc length and travel speed consistent; back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise; set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks; sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size. What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard On-the-job training and a clear path to grow.
