Immediate opening: we are hiring a gardener in City and Borough of Salford, England. You will be based at a private estate garden. Day to day you will maintain compost heaps and the potting shed; check and adjust sprinkler timers and irrigation heads; dig over and turn the soil and prepare seedbeds; rake up fallen leaves, grass clippings and garden waste; cut back tree branches and clear overhanging limbs. Ideal candidate: • Previous experience as a gardener or in grounds maintenance • Good knowledge of common plants, shrubs and seasonal planting • Able to safely operate mowers, strimmers and hedge trimmers Full-time with occasional weekends.
