Retail butcher — Rice County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a retail butcher in Rice County, Kansas. You will be based at a wholesale meat market. Day-to-day duties: • Break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts • Take customer orders and advise on cuts and cooking • Dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date • Stuff and link fresh sausages with casings • Weigh, price and label cuts for the display case • Season and marinate meat on request Requirements: • Able to identify primal cuts of beef, mutton and poultry • Physically fit to lift carcasses and stand all day • 2+ years experience working as a butcher At least 1 year(s) in a similar role. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
