Mason's helper — Monroe County

Now hiring: we are hiring a mason's helper in Monroe County, Michigan. You will work on a building construction site. Day to day you will erect and dismantle scaffolding and pass materials up; set out levels with line and plumb under the mason's direction; dig foundation trenches and pits with pick and shovel; break out old walls and concrete with a jackhammer breaker; fix and strip shuttering and formwork for beams and columns; pour and spread concrete, then compact it with a poker vibrator. Ideal candidate: • Basic knowledge of hand tools like shovel, trowel and breaker • Know how to mix concrete and mortar to the right ratio • Punctual and ready to do overtime when a pour demands it Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
