Flatlock machine operator • Franklin County, Massachusetts

We are recruiting: we are hiring a flatlock machine operator in Franklin County, Massachusetts. The job is in a small denim manufacturing unit. On the job you will handle: • Topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers • Press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges • Attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet • Change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation Requirements: • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
