You will fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads; read lift plans and method statements before starting; establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area; take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings; set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads. Ideal candidate: • Confident with standard crane hand signals • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
