Immediate opening: we are hiring a press machine operator in East Baton Rouge Parish, Louisiana. Day-to-day duties: • Load metal sheets, blanks and coils onto the press bed • Punch, blank, pierce, bend and form sheet metal components • Check stamped parts against drawings using vernier calipers and gauges • Top up the press hydraulic oil and grease the slide ways • Clear scrap and offcuts from the die area What we are looking for: • Knowledge of press safety, guarding and lockout-tagout • Attention to detail and steady hands for accurate loading • Can use vernier calipers, micrometers and go/no-go gauges $2,800 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
