Cement mason — Monroe County

Now hiring: we are hiring a cement mason in Monroe County, Illinois. You will be based on a road and bridge project. On the job you will handle: • Set out levels with a spirit level, line and pins • Erect and align timber and steel shuttering before each pour • Give broom or steel-trowel finishes as specified • Load, hoist and barrow concrete to the upper floors • Float and trowel surfaces with a bull float and power trowel for a smooth finish Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of concrete grades, slump and curing periods • Comfortable working at heights and on scaffolds • Willing to wear safety boots, helmet and full PPE A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew.
