Core maker • Middlesbrough, England

We are recruiting: we are hiring a core maker in Middlesbrough, England. You will be based in the fettling and dressing shop. What we are looking for: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts You will melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Six days a week, one day off. Contact us to fix an interview.
