Restoration bricklayer — Atascosa County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a restoration bricklayer in Atascosa County, Texas. You will cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder; pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints; raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish; forming arches, piers and reveals around openings; brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go; buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge. What we are looking for: • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
