What we are looking for: • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage The role involves run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec; sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size; inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut; TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer; weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through.
