Ideal candidate: • Comfortable using vernier, micrometer and gauges • Basic record-keeping and part-counting skills • Good attention to detail and steady hands The role involves top up coolant, lubricant and hydraulic oil levels; measure parts with vernier calliper, micrometer and go/no-go gauges; report breakdowns to the maintenance fitter; follow lockout-tagout before cleaning or clearing the machine; set up and start the machine as per the job card; run the first-off piece and check it against the drawing.
