Metal caster — Rowan County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a metal caster in Rowan County, Kentucky. You should have: • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards Day-to-day duties: • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes 6+ years on the tools preferred.
