Urgent requirement: we are hiring a backhoe loader operator in City of Winchester, Virginia. What we are looking for: • Awareness of site safety, PPE and lifting procedures • Knowledge of pre-start inspections and basic machine maintenance • Able to operate excavator, loader and dozer confidently The role involves load and unload the machine on and off the low-loader safely; excavate trenches and foundations to the marked depths and grade levels; keep a safe distance from excavation edges and overhead lines; carry out daily pre-start checks on engine oil, coolant, hydraulic fluid and track tension; level and grade the road sub-base to the surveyor's pegs and string lines; backfill and compact soil around pipes and foundations.
