Immediate opening: we are hiring a container truck driver in Austin County, Texas. You will work at a busy distribution depot. You should have: • Clean driving record with no recent endorsements • Valid digital tachograph card • Good knowledge of driving-hours and tachograph rules Day to day you will keep a safe following distance, adjusting for weather and load; check load weight and axle distribution against permitted limits; plan routes and rest stops in line with driving-hours rules; log working hours on the tachograph and swap driver cards; secure loads with ratchet straps, chains and load bars; reverse and carry out blind-side manoeuvres at loading bays.
