Great opportunity: we are hiring a furnace operator in Lamb County, Texas. On the job you will handle: • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects Ideal candidate: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts Full-time, day shift.
