The role involves read engineering drawings and GD&T to plan the machining sequence; carry out daily lubrication and routine machine maintenance; deburr and finish machined edges with files and emery; keep in-process inspection records and log production counts; set spindle speeds and feed rates to suit the material and cutter; set tool offsets and the work zero (G54) using an edge finder or probe. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to stand and lift workpieces • Knows feeds, speeds and tooling for steel, aluminium and cast iron At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
