Immediate opening: we are hiring a head butcher in Pike County, Alabama. You will be based at a busy retail butcher's shop. You should have: • Confident knife skills and safe blade handling • Food hygiene / HACCP certificate • Clean, presentable and friendly at the counter Day to day you will stuff and link fresh sausages with casings; take customer orders and advise on cuts and cooking; monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain; trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts. At least 2 year(s) in a similar role. We offer $2,900 per month plus benefits. Full-time with occasional weekends. Contact us to fix an interview.
