Fabrication workshop technician — Boone County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a fabrication workshop technician in Boone County, Indiana. On the job you will handle: • Check the frame for square by measuring the diagonals • Drill drainage and pressure-equalisation slots in the outer frame • Fit espagnolette locking gear, friction hinges, handles and keeps to the sash • Fit fly screens, sills and trickle vents • Crimp glazing beads to length and snap them into the frame What we are looking for: • Able to read cutting lists and fabrication drawings • Able to work to deadlines in a busy workshop • Accurate measuring and squaring to within a couple of millimetres Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
