Immediate opening: mining dozer operator (Iowa)

Now hiring: we are hiring a mining dozer operator in Buchanan County, Iowa. You will be based on a road construction project. Your main tasks: • Grease pins and bushes and check undercarriage tension daily • Form embankments and batter slopes to the required angle • Carry out pre-start checks on tracks, hydraulics, coolant and engine oil • Strip topsoil and stockpile it for later reuse • Rip hard ground and rock using the rear ripper shank • Refuel the machine and record running hours Ideal candidate: • Valid heavy equipment or plant operator licence • Safety awareness around banksmen, trucks and other plant • Good understanding of cut-and-fill and batter slopes Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
