Ideal candidate: • A good head for heights for tower crane work • Good depth perception and hand-eye coordination • Able to read load charts and lifting plans The role involves: • Keep every lift within the safe working load (SWL) • Grease the slew ring and inspect the wire rope for broken strands • Carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block • Hoist, slew and lower loads smoothly and under control • Rig and sling loads using slings, shackles and spreader beams • Keep a safe distance from overhead power lines Rotating shifts.
