Urgent requirement: we are hiring a core maker in Jakusko, Yobe State. The job is in the melting bay of a steel foundry. Your main tasks: • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture You should have: • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
