Immediate opening: we are hiring a lathe programmer-operator in Plymouth, England. The job is in a precision engineering workshop. Ideal candidate: • Able to hold tolerances to ±0.01 mm • Confident with micrometers, vernier calipers and bore gauges On a typical shift you will run facing, turning, boring, grooving and threading cycles; deburr and chamfer machined parts by hand; change worn carbide inserts and monitor tool wear; set tool offsets and establish work zero (G54).
