Immediate opening: we are hiring an argon welder in Wilkes County, North Carolina. On the job you will handle: • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding You should have: • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols • Able to pass a weld test on the spot Six days a week, one day off.
