Trainee butcher — Lenoir County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a trainee butcher in Lenoir County, North Carolina. Ideal candidate: • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required • Clean, presentable and friendly at the counter • Confident knife skills and safe blade handling Day to day you will break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts; monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain; dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date; sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone. 4+ years on the tools preferred.
