Canteen cook — Jackson County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a canteen cook in Jackson County, North Carolina. You will be based in a catering banquet kitchen. You should have: • Food hygiene / FoSTaC certificate • Sound knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards • 2+ years' experience as a cook in a busy kitchen On the job you will handle: • Marinate meats and prepare curries, gravies and bases • Knead dough and bake breads such as roti, naan and paratha • Cook dishes to order on the grill, fry and sauté stations • Plate and garnish dishes for a quick pass to service Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
