Foundry labourer — Androscoggin County

Join our team: we are hiring a foundry labourer in Androscoggin County, Maine. You will be based at a brass and bronze foundry. On a typical shift you will skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch. Ideal candidate: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling Full-time, day shift.
