Immediate opening: we are hiring an ironing operator in Ballard County, Kentucky. You will work in a busy laundry. The role involves fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press; meet the daily piece target without damaging garments; set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics; hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing; shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board; check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots. What we are looking for: • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings Full-time with occasional weekends.
