Tig welder — Southampton

Join our team: we are hiring a tig welder in Southampton, England. The job is in a pipe-spool fabrication yard. Day to day you will inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion; carry out 6G pipe welds where required; control heat input so thin sheet does not warp; weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges. Ideal candidate: • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
