Core maker — Pecos County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a core maker in Pecos County, Texas. You should have: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Basic grinding and fettling skills Day-to-day duties: • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture Rotating shifts. Performance bonus on top of base pay. $4,400 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
