Tig welder wanted in Patrick County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a tig welder in Patrick County, Virginia. Your main tasks: • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp Ideal candidate: • Own basic hand tools and PPE • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
