Ladle pourer wanted in Scott County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a ladle pourer in Scott County, Virginia. The role involves: • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture Ideal candidate: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
