We are recruiting: we are hiring a rough terrain crane operator in Smyth County, Virginia. You will watch the load moment indicator (LMI) and stay within rated capacity; set up the outriggers and level the crane on firm ground; carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block; follow hand signals and radio calls from the banksman or slinger; fill in the daily logbook and raise defect reports; rig and sling loads using slings, shackles and spreader beams. What we are looking for: • Able to read load charts and lifting plans • A good head for heights for tower crane work • Sound knowledge of rigging and slinging At least 3 year(s) in a similar role.
