Vertical transportation technician — Wayne County

Now hiring: we are hiring a vertical transportation technician in Wayne County, Kentucky. Your main tasks: • Fill in the service logbook and statutory inspection paperwork • Mount and align landing doors, sills and car door operators • Set and test the overspeed governor and safety gear • Measure rope tension and check for broken strands • Run load and overload tests with test weights Ideal candidate: • Willing to join the on-call/emergency breakdown rota • Good head for heights for pit and car-top work • ITI in electrical/mechanical or an equivalent trade certificate Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. Pay around $3,300 per month, based on your experience. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
