Vacancy available: we are hiring a gang bricklayer in Orange County, Virginia. The role involves raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish; checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod; laying bricks to the line, level and plumb; pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints; cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder. Ideal candidate: • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
