Argon welding operator — Limestone County

Now hiring: we are hiring an argon welding operator in Limestone County, Alabama. The job is at a busy fabrication workshop. What we are looking for: • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols Day-to-day duties: • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish 2+ years on the tools preferred.
