Groundworker — Wabash County

Join our team: we are hiring a groundworker in Wabash County, Illinois. You will be based with a civil contractor. On a typical shift you will pour and spread concrete, then compact it with a poker vibrator; clear debris and sweep the slab before the next pour; hand tools and materials up to workers on the upper floors; carry bricks, cement bags and sand up to the masons on site; erect and dismantle scaffolding and pass materials up; dig foundation trenches and pits with pick and shovel. Ideal candidate: • Punctual and ready to do overtime when a pour demands it • Wear safety helmet, boots and gloves at all times • Prior experience as a labourer on building or civil sites Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
