Vacancy available: we are hiring a brick mason in Shelby County, Alabama. The job is on a commercial construction site. You should have: • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day On a typical shift you will mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser; building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation; pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints; brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go; installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays. Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. Full-time with occasional weekends. Overtime paid at a premium rate. We offer $3,700 per month plus benefits. Contact us to fix an interview.
