Excavator operator • Nguru, Yobe State

We are recruiting: we are hiring an excavator operator in Nguru, Yobe State. You will work on a busy construction site. You should have: • Comfortable working long shifts in dust, heat and noise • Valid heavy equipment / plant operator licence • Knowledge of pre-start inspections and basic machine maintenance On a typical shift you will keep a safe distance from excavation edges and overhead lines; read site drawings and follow the batter and slope profiles; work in coordination with the banksman and ground crew on signals; load trucks with spoil, aggregate and overburden using the bucket; keep the cab clean and complete the daily machine logbook; carry out daily pre-start checks on engine oil, coolant, hydraulic fluid and track tension.
