Shakeout operator wanted in Knowsley

Great opportunity: we are hiring a shakeout operator in Knowsley, England. You will be based at an aluminium die-casting plant. Your main tasks: • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand You should have: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards Full-time with occasional weekends. Pay around £12 per hour, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
