We are recruiting: shakeout operator (Scotland)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a shakeout operator in Perth and Kinross, Scotland. You will be based on the moulding line. Day-to-day duties: • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings What we are looking for: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection Six days a week, one day off. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Walk-in interviews this week.
