Great opportunity: we are hiring a machinist in Carroll County, Tennessee. The job is on a ready-made garment production line. Day to day you will press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges; stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance; sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required; meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality; inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes; trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go. What we are looking for: • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching $3,300 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
