Blocklayer • Allen County, Ohio

We are recruiting: we are hiring a blocklayer in Allen County, Ohio. Your main tasks: • Installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays • Setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge • Laying bricks to the line, level and plumb • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel • Forming arches, piers and reveals around openings What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks At least 6 year(s) in a similar role. Six days a week, one day off. $5,100 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
