Vacancy available: we are hiring a gas service engineer in Hartlepool, England. You will be based in a gas distribution network. What we are looking for: • Physically fit for lifting pipe, meters and cylinders • Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces The role involves: • Thread, ream and join black iron pipe with pipe wrenches and thread sealant • Lay and route steel and copper gas pipe runs to the appliance points • Braze copper gas lines and weld carbon-steel pipe joints • Purge air from the lines and commission appliances to the correct gas rate • Read isometric drawings and mark out the pipe routes • Test combustion and flue gases with a flue gas analyser At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
