Banksman — Harnett County

Join our team: we are hiring a banksman in Harnett County, North Carolina. You will be based at a shipyard. Requirements: • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear On the job you will handle: • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift • Attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks • Take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings • Set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads 6+ years on the tools preferred.
