Immediate opening: we are hiring a fettler in Benton County, Oregon. You will work on the moulding line. Day to day you will inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring. What we are looking for: • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal Part-time with flexible hours.
