Dogger — Borsari

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a dogger in Borsari, Yobe State. You will be based on an offshore oil and gas platform. Day-to-day duties: • Check sling angles to stay within the working load limit • Set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads • Tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear • Direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio • Secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists You should have: • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
