Now hiring: we are hiring a vertical milling machine operator in Talbot County, Maryland. You will work in a toolroom. Ideal candidate: • Proficient with micrometers, vernier callipers and dial gauges • Able to grind and set HSS cutters • Safety conscious and comfortable wearing PPE around moving machinery The role involves keep in-process inspection records and log production counts; monitor tool wear and change blunt inserts and cutters; set tool offsets and the work zero (G54) using an edge finder or probe; mount workpieces in machine vices, clamps and fixtures and check for square. $2,500 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
